AES - Bristol Extreme

Hi Guys.

If anyone has Bristol Extreme (UK2000) scenery installed you might like to know that the latest version of AES base installs AES at Bristol for FS9/FSX. Also Edinburgh for FSX with FS9 planned for the future. It is already available at Heathrow, Belfast and Birmingham.

Gary Summons will be updating Gatwick later this year once he has rebuilt his scenery compiler program. I understand that Manchester Extreme is also in the pipeline for the New Year. I don't know about Stansted ...

Noble Air Poker Night Flyin

As We had a very good turnout for our recent flyin a few pilots mentioned that maybe we should do something similar more often. So i thought maybe we should do a flyin with a few hands of poker after we have all arrived safely at KLAS. I was thinking of sat 26/7/09 with a similar time frame to our ksfo flyin . Pilots will be free to choose where they fly from and what a/c they fly but all need to arrive at KLAS for 2100-2230 gmt

Roger maybe you could help with emails to pilots with details ...

UK Repaint for LEVEL-D B767-300 FS9

Hi Guys,

Another excellent repaint from Phill Irmin's stable. This one is for the Level-D B767-300 for FS9. The paintwork includes a UK registration number and the Union Flag.

There is a link from the London Webpage, but I have also made a link for this and the PMDG 737-700 from the London Hub Files page.

Thanks for a great repaint Phill

Cheers

Hi Guys,

Phill Irwin from Christchurch has produced this really great NA repaint for the FS9 PMDG B737-700. It carries the Union Flag and a British registration. It looks really good and I thoroughly recoomend it. There are full installation instructions which are easy to follow.

There is a link to the repaint from the London Hub webpage.

Many thanks to Phill for sharing it with us.

Autothrottle problem in FSX

Some of us using FSX have had a problem with the autothrottle switching itself back on during an approach, after being switched off, resulting in the engines going full throttle during touchdown, with very embarassing results.

I think that the text below, copied from the AVSIM forum, explains it very well, and gives a solution.

I have tried this, and it works on the FSX default A321.

Steve has experienced the same problem with the PMDG B747, and will report on whether this solution works ...
